Moet & Chandon Rose Vintage
This Grand Vintage 2000 is one of those Champagnes where everything came together in one year. Assembled by blending the Pinot Noir (48%), Chardonnay (22%) and Pinot Meunier (30%) grapes together.
Moët & Chandon is one of the most famous luxury Champagne producers, with a history dating back to 1743 when it was founded by Claude Monet. When his grandson, Jean-Remy Moët took over the business, he made it into an international brand. His son continued and developed the brand with his brother in law Pierre-Gabriel Chandon, when it was bought by both of them in 1883.
Vivacious in texture, the flavour of the wild berries blend harmoniously with some compelling mint and floral flavours to create a unique palate for a very unique Champagne. The finish balances it out with notes of blackcurrant, coffee and liquorice to leave you wanting more.
Serve it chilled alongside a platter of sea food or seared salmon to have all those flavours bounce off one another. It belongs in the middle of the dinner table.
